BOS Logistics has developed a uniquely qualified and diversified staff, whose skillsets afford us a diverse statement of Capabilities. Our philosophy is based on service. A project is not complete until it is done to the best of our ability and to the satisfaction of the customer. The BOS Logistics staff is comprised of high achieving professionals who take immense pride in a job well done.

We approach each project as a team staffed with relevant skillsets, always focusing on the requirements of the Statement of Work, and striving for customer satisfaction. Our goal’s three prongs are absolute success, within budget, and on time.

Our Founders

Renée W. Spivey

Renée W. Spivey

President/Owner

Mrs. Spivey is a 2008 graduate of the renowned Event Management Program at the George Washington University School of Business, Mrs. Spivey has earned the meeting industry designation of Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP). Additionally, she has earned certification as a Certified Virtual Event Producer (CVEP). Mrs. Spivey has held a Top Secret, SCI Clearance assigned by the Department of Justice during her career with the United States District Court (last updated in 1997).

Mrs. Spivey has been a manager, logistics expert, conference planner, presentation specialist, project manager, administrative specialist and technical writer for more than three decades. Her organizational skills and writing ability have been instrumental in securing contracts and sub-contracts with private and government entities for work including: general contracting projects, logistical support for conferences and meetings; project management; exhibit supervision and presentation; editing manuscripts and manuals, design and production of printed materials related to training manuals and annual reports; internet research; remote office management, and assistance with proposal and bid preparation. Also, included in her skill-set is the development of mobile device APPs for events.

Mrs. Spivey has provided logistics and management services to numerous government agencies including: Federal Aviation Administration on several projects including Office of the Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation’s Annual Conference; The Administrator’s Annual International Aviation Safety Forum, The Flight Standards Office’s New Technologies Workshop. Also, the department of the US Navy for the logistics management of a traveling exhibit to be displayed at museums and government buildings across the nation. The exhibit has a value of approximately $80,000 and its display destinations have included the Wallops Island Visitors Center, the Pentagon, Washington Navy Yard Museum, and more…

In 1999 Mrs. Spivey retired after 25 years of service to the federal government. During her last decade of service she served as executive administrator for a U.S. District Court Judge at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, where she was responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the judge’s chambers including; all matters of procurement; maintaining confidential files and court proceedings; maintaining the judge’s calendar and his speaking engagements; arranging travel; and initial screening of applicants for positions as law clerk. Ms. Spivey has been recognized for her organizational excellence, her writing ability, and her attention to detail. She strives to remain current and has stayed close to the cutting edge with changing technology and software advancements. She is proficient in communication design, production, data management and collaborative software applications.

Director, Human Resources and Recruitment

Mr. Spivey has been an independent businessman since his retirement from the Federal Bureau of Investigation 2000, where he served as a Special Agent. He has been an integral part of BOS Logistics since its inception. Mr. Spivey brings a wealth of government agency knowledge, negotiation skills, and management experience to BOS Logistics. His areas of expertise include:

  • Manages projects to include interaction with the customers and onsite inspection
  • Serves to represent the interests of the corporation and its owner
  • Has knowledge of corporation’s inner workings, financial and market position
  • Participates in continuing searches for new opportunities that fit the capabilities of the corporation
  • Briefs owner on matters of security and safety

Through his vast experience in law enforcement, with service to Portsmouth Police Department, Naval Investigative Service, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mr. Spivey brings the benefit of his years of training and expertise to include:

  • Strong training and analytical skills
  • Hands on extensive background in criminal investigations, surveillance, domestic terrorism operations, interviewing, weapons and tactics, fingerprinting specialties, hostage negotiations, gang investigation/intelligence
  • Proven record in organizing, planning and managing investigations
  • Excellent analytical reasoning and writing skills

Our Staff

Brenda W. Wiggins

Accounts Administrator
 

Mrs. Wiggins comes to BOS Logistics having previously held position as Chief of Financial Services Programs for Newport News, VA Department of Social Services with a program budget and funding responsibilities of approximately $36 million annually and a staff of more than 100. In addition to directing large and complex organizations, she concurrently served as the Chief Data Processing Liaison for Newport News Social Services: served as City Manager’s representative and panelist for various employment, grievance and policy panels, presenter of professional development workshops and seminars, trainer in work methods, policy and procedure, investigative skills building, office and accounting procedures in social services, and on numerous state agency hiring panels, task forces, work groups, etc. Mrs. Wiggins developed and shared with other agencies a training program for eligibility case workers and supervisors. She served as backup for the Director, Deputy Director and Chief of Social Work Services as needed to include proceeding with actions from foster care placement approvals to disciplinary actions involving staff.

Mrs. Wiggins brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to BOS Logistics. In her capacity as Accounts Administrator, she serves as a tremendous asset to our fundamental operations.

M. Janice Wilson

Diversity Consultant
Human Relations Specialist

Mrs. Wilson is a Diversity Consultant and Human Relations Specialist who is retired from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) after 35 l/2 years of federal service. During her career, she sought and obtained positions of increasing responsibility rising to a mid-management position as a Program Manager. Her responsibilities included managing and leading a Diversity Best Management Practices program for over 5,000 employees. She worked in CIA University as the Diversity Training Program Manager teaching Diversity training to CIA employees and managing the Diversity program for the CIA. In this capacity, she advised managers and leaders in matters pertaining to diversity within the CIA. She has taught various training courses, such as Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Diversity for managers and leaders, Diversity for Employees, Counseling Skills for Managers, and Leading in the CIA to name a few. Mrs. Wilson also has CIA personnel assigned to overseas locations. She has traveled to areas such as: Poland, Germany, England, and Guam. Her direct yet non-confrontational approach to training has gained her recognition as a very effective training consultant.
